they don’t seem to realize that at that age, what really matters is the creativity, not the technical skills.

hahaha i cant believe the winners..even technically they aren’t that great..

looks like the creativity and technical skills are there.

at any age, anyone can pick up a camera and shoot but it does take talent to have both a knowledge of photographic creativity and technical skills, which they seem to posess

to be honest, i agree. i don’t see why everyone is getting so stressy about these photographs winning.

(but then i didn’t see the shortlist)

i think its silly taking these competitons too seriously anyway.

Seriously considering going to spend a few hours in the darkroom. Other things I have to do, like

write a treatment for my film

write dissertation

rest my leg (which has just had stitches removed and still needs to heal a little)

are preventing this decision.

I spent 4 hours in the darkroom yesterday and worked maybe the quickest I have ever done. I got 4 contacts done, and 15 prints. The first 4 prints took about and hour and a half, because I was trying to get fogged film to be less shit.

That is quick! Black and white or colour darkroom?

i have only done just over 200 words on this essay
